By taking a mold sample yourself, you can save the cost of a mold inspection, and find out if the suspicious discoloration on a surface inside your home or building is mold. Even better, the test will tell you what type of mold is present.
When you place an order for a mold swab test kit, you will receive a swab by mail along with instructions for collecting the sample, and a return envelope. It only takes about a minute to collect the sample. Here’s a link to our instructional video that shows how to collect your mold swab sample. Once you place the kit in the prepaid mailer and ship it back to Titanium Laboratories, we handle your swab sample in the exact same way that we handle samples that are collected by our Certified Mold Inspector. It is submitted to an AIHA accredited laboratory for analysis.
In addition to your accredited laboratory report, we also include instructions that explain how to interpret your results, and the steps for remediation if mold removal is necessary in your case. To help you clean mold from nearly any surface within your home, we add in a guide to cleaning mold from various materials such as textiles, books, and furniture.
